Thanks for the very good article and heads-up.
We are using Suhoshin on our hosting (debian and Ubuntu distributions) since many years without any issues. Around 500 complex PHP websites hosted here.
Also quite some larger hosters I have debugged bugs in our PHP code, use it too, and I have not seen any bugs that were not on the PHP tracker too (and thus not related to suhoshin).
Debian's decision is sad, and I hope it will be reverted.
I also hope Ubuntu doesn't follow it and keeps suhoshin.
